Job Description

If you care about doing an installation correctly, not merely getting the equipment running, we would like to talk with you. Doylestown Air is a family-owned HVAC company serving Bucks County and eastern Montgomery County since 1982. We are looking for an HVAC Installation Technician who takes pride in clean workmanship, proper startup procedures, and respectful customer service. Our installation work includes central heating and cooling systems, heat pumps, ductless equipment, boilers, hydronic systems, indoor-air-quality products, and related ductwork and controls. What You'll Do Install residential and light-commercial HVAC equipment Complete ducted, ductless, and hydronic system installations Install refrigerant piping, electrical wiring, drains, venting, controls, and sheet metal Braze with nitrogen and perform proper pressure testing Evacuate, charge, start, and test systems according to manufacturer requirements Verify airflow, temperature, refrigerant, electrical, and operating measurements Complete startup forms, job notes, and installation photos Review project requirements and identify needed materials Communicate job progress or unexpected conditions promptly Protect customers' homes and maintain clean, organized jobsites Work cooperatively with lead installers, apprentices, office staff, and management Help train apprentices as experience allows What Success Looks Like Systems are installed according to manufacturer requirements and applicable codes Startup measurements are completed and documented Refrigerant and condensate systems are tested before the job is completed Jobsites remain organized and customers' property is protected Material shortages and installation concerns are identified early Customers receive a professional walkthrough of their new equipment Preventable callbacks are minimized What We're Looking For HVAC installation or related mechanical-trade experience Understanding of installation tools, materials, and safe work practices Ability to follow job plans and manufacturer instructions Strong attention to detail Dependability and punctuality Professional communication and conduct Ability to work in attics, basements, crawlspaces, and outdoor conditions, with reasonable accommodation where applicable Ability to perform the essential physical duties of the position Valid driver's license and ability to meet company vehicle requirements when driving is required Preferred Qualifications EPA Section 608 certification Experience with heat pumps, gas furnaces, ductless systems, boilers, or hydronics Refrigerant piping, brazing, evacuation, charging, electrical, or sheet-metal experience Experience with Bryant, Carrier, Mitsubishi, or Fujitsu equipment Trade-school education or manufacturer training Experience completing startup forms and electronic job documentation Why Doylestown Air?
