Job Description
Reader Electric is growing its HVAC side and needs a technician who installs and services ductless mini-splits, heat pumps and central systems. You will work alongside our electricians, which means the electrical side of every install is handled in-house and done right. Steady local work, fair pay, no games. Based in Tyrone, PA, serving Altoona, State College and Central PA. What you will do
- Install ductless mini-split and heat pump systems, including line sets, mounting, vacuum and charge
- Service and repair residential HVAC systems, diagnose faults and recommend fixes honestly
- Perform seasonal maintenance visits
- Work with our electricians on new circuits and disconnects
- Keep clean job sites and explain the work to customers in plain language What we are looking for
- 2 or more years of HVAC installation or service experience; mini-split experience a strong plus
- EPA Section 608 certification (Type II or Universal)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Own hand tools
- Able to lift 75 lbs, work on ladders and roofs and in attics
- Comfortable being the face of the company in a customer's home Benefits discussed at interview.
