Gibbel Home Services is growing, and we're looking for an experienced residential HVAC installer who can take ownership of an installation and get the job done correctly from start to finish. This is not an apprentice or entry-level position . We're looking for someone who understands the trade, can solve problems without constantly needing direction, and takes pride in leaving behind an installation that looks as good as it performs. Clean, straight equipment installations Quality sheet-metal work Proper airflow Correct equipment setup Clean gas piping Proper furnace venting Professional electrical and low-voltage work Proper condensate drainage Correct refrigeration practices Flowing nitrogen while brazing Proper pressure testing Proper evacuation Correct refrigerant charging Thorough startup and commissioning Protecting the customer's home Leaving the jobsite cleaner than you found it "It's running" doesn't mean the job is finished. What You'll Do Install residential furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, coils, and air handlers Review the job scope and installation plan before starting Organize the job and determine the best sequence of work Verify equipment and materials before installation Remove existing equipment safely and professionally Complete sheet-metal transitions and modifications Install and modify gas piping Install PVC and metal furnace venting Complete electrical and low-voltage connections Install condensate systems Run and connect refrigeration piping Braze using proper practices Pressure test and evacuate systems properly Charge and commission equipment correctly Verify airflow and complete system startup Complete required installation documentation and checklists Maintain a clean and organized jobsite Communicate professionally with customers Help develop less-experienced installers working alongside you Take ownership of the installation from arrival through completion We're Building a Better Installation System We don't want our installers arriving at a customer's home and spending half the morning figuring out what somebody should have figured out beforehand. Our goal is to have replacement jobs surveyed and planned before installation day . Depending on the job, you'll receive: Jobsite photos Equipment information Equipment measurements Sheet-metal measurements Material requirements Gas-piping plan Electrical plan Venting plan Condensate plan Refrigeration plan Written installation overview You'll also have technical support when an unusual situation comes up. We want our installers installing—not chasing parts and figuring out yesterday's planning mistakes. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: An experienced residential HVAC installer Capable of independently running a replacement installation A self-starter Driven Goal-oriented Highly organized Productive without sacrificing quality A strong problem solver Dependable Professional with customers Willing to teach and help teammates improve Proud of their craft Someone with an owner's mentality You don't necessarily need to have held the title "Lead Installer."
