The Role This is a hybrid position for a well-rounded technician who does not want to be boxed into one lane. Your week will be mostly service and diagnostics in customer homes, with occasional install support and shop work between calls. If you like variety and you take pride in a clean, organized truck and shop, you will fit here. What You Will Do Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial heating and cooling equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and mini splits Perform maintenance and tune-ups, including on our Comfort Club membership accounts Explain findings clearly to homeowners and present repair options with confidence and zero pressure Assist install crews on changeouts and larger jobs when the schedule calls for it Keep the shop and warehouse organized: pull and stage material, maintain the bin wall, handle equipment prep and returns Document every call accurately, including photos, readings, and complete notes Keep your truck stocked, clean, and inspection-ready What You Need Minimum 5 years of hands-on HVAC experience (this is a firm requirement, not a preference) Strong diagnostic ability on both gas heat and refrigeration side EPA 608 Certification Valid Idaho driver's license and a clean driving record Ability to lift 50 pounds, work in attics and crawlspaces, and handle Idaho summers and winters Ability to pass a background check and drug screen Who You Are Detail oriented. You check your work, you torque your connections, and you do not leave a job "close enough." Confident with customers. You can walk into a stranger's home, explain a failed part in plain English, and have them trust you by the time you leave. Honest. You recommend what the equipment actually needs. Self-directed. You do not need someone standing over your shoulder to stay productive between calls.
