$50,000•$120,000 per year, based on experience, licensing, and qualifications Now Hiring Licensed, Experienced HVAC Technicians Automatic Temperature Controls, Inc. (ATC) is looking for an experienced licensed HVAC Technician to join our commercial service and installation team. This position is for a skilled technician with hands-on experience in commercial HVAC systems, equipment startup, service, troubleshooting, commissioning, and repair. Please apply only if you currently hold at least one valid trade license in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, or Connecticut. We are looking for someone who can work independently, communicate professionally with customers and team members, and help support high-quality work on commercial and institutional projects. Responsibilities Install, start up, diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems and equipment Work on commercial HVAC equipment including boilers, chillers, air handlers, rooftop units, pumps, VFDs, and related mechanical systems Perform equipment startup, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting Read and understand mechanical drawings, control drawings, schematics, and project documents Use laptops, meters, hand tools, and testing equipment to diagnose and repair system issues Coordinate with project managers, service coordinators, and other field staff Complete work in a safe, professional, and timely manner Assist with point-to-point checkout and system integration when needed Work with DDC controls, BAS systems, and Niagara/Tridium systems as needed Support and mentor less-experienced technicians when appropriate Required Qualifications Valid RI, MA, or CT trade license required Acceptable licenses include Pipefitter, Sheet Metal, Refrigeration, or equivalent applicable trade license Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC experience preferred Strong experience with commercial HVAC service, installation, startup, and troubleshooting Ability to work independently in the field Ability to read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and control drawings Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Professional communication skills Ability to perform physical field work in commercial and institutional job site conditions Preferred Experience Commercial HVAC service Commercial HVAC installation Equipment startup and commissioning DDC controls Building automation systems BAS controls Niagara / Tridium KMC controls VFDs Boilers Chillers Rooftop units Air handlers Pumps Schools, municipal buildings, government buildings, and commercial facilities Benefits Annual salary range: $50,000•$120,000 401(k) with company match Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Retirement plan Paid time off Paid holidays Year-round work Overtime opportunities On-call opportunities Career growth and advanced training opportunities Exposure to building automation and controls systems Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday 40+ hours per week Overtime available On-call opportunities available Work Location Based out of Cranston, RI Work performed at commercial, institutional, municipal, and government job sites throughout the region How to Apply Apply through Indeed and include your resume.
