Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an HVAC Technician and become a vital part of ensuring optimal comfort, safety, and efficiency across a variety of commercial and residential properties. In this energetic role, you will perform installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Your expertise will help keep systems running smoothly while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment (including ammonia refrigeration), and mechanical systems. Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot complex electrical systems to ensure optimal performance. Read schematics and HVAC design plans to accurately execute installations and repairs aligned with project specifications. Perform routine HVAC system maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems and property maintenance tasks as needed. Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently through mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills; repair or replace faulty components promptly. Assist in building automation system management for efficient building operations and energy savings. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, incident logs, and documentation for all work performed. Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerants and environmental safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about system issues, repairs, and maintenance procedures. Operate company van safely while adhering to all transportation regulations; support field service operations across multiple sites. Experience Proven construction experience with HVAC system installation and repair projects. Service technician experience working on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems in commercial or residential settings. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing mechanical systems such as heat pumps. Ability to use hand tools effectively along with specialized diagnostic equipment like ohmmeters for electrical testing. Prior property maintenance or facility mechanic experience is advantageous. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC design or electrical diagnostics are beneficial.
