$25.00-55.00/hr Position Summary The Senior HVAC/R Technician serves as the technical lead and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HVAC, refrigeration, and critical temperature-controlled systems. This role is responsible for maintaining system reliability, preventing temperature excursions, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, leading installations and projects, and supporting compliance in a regulated facility environment. Availability to respond to equipment emergencies is required. Key Responsibilities Lead preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC/R and refrigeration systems. Monitor and maintain critical equipment including air handlers, exhaust fans, refrigerators, freezers, and stability chambers. Serve as the HVAC/R SME and point of contact in the absence of the Facilities Manager. Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring maintenance activities. Develop and update maintenance procedures, PM checklists, and work instructions. Lead equipment installations, facility improvement projects, and contractor coordination. Maintain spare parts inventory and document all work in the maintenance management system. Support audits, compliance efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with other Facilities team members and trades to support site operations. Qualifications 10+ years of industrial or commercial HVAC/R experience. EPA Section 608 Certification required. Refrigeration License required. High School Diploma, Technical School Certificate, Military Technical Training, or Associate Degree. Strong troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance experience. Pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
