Job Description
MG Oil is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician in the Rapid City area! Job Overview We are looking for a dependable and experienced HVAC Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and installing commercial HVAC systems. Responsibilities Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), and related mechanical equipment. Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure peak efficiency and longevity. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems and property maintenance tasks as needed. Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and welding equipment for repairs when necessary. Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance data. Drive company vehicles safely to various job sites while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. Qualifications Proven experience in construction environments with a strong foundation in HVAC service technician roles. Mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, plumbing, and appliance repair. Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately for troubleshooting complex systems. Field service experience with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently on-site. Familiarity with HVAC design principles and property maintenance practices. Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; skilled in equipment repair including welding when required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers or similar vehicles preferred.
