We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, chillers, boilers, and package units. Inspect equipment to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions. Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, and mechanical system problems. Replace worn or defective components, such as motors, belts, filters, capacitors, contactors, and thermostats. Test system performance and ensure equipment operates efficiently. Complete service reports, maintenance records, and work orders accurately. Communicate findings and recommendations to customers and management. Follow all company safety procedures and applicable industry regulations. Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and inventory of tools and parts. Respond to service calls and occasional emergency repairs as needed. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of commercial HVAC experience preferred. EPA Universal Certification required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, refrigeration cycles, and electrical diagnostics. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Proficient with diagnostic tools and testing equipment. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and customer service abilities. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working on rooftops, ladders, and in mechanical rooms. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and confined spaces. Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
