Job Summary:
The HVAC Helper assists HVAC technicians with the installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This entry-level position provides hands-on experience while supporting technicians in delivering quality service to residential and commercial customers. Key Responsibilities Assist HVAC technicians with installing, servicing, and repairing HVAC equipment. Carry tools, materials, and equipment to job sites. Help load and unload equipment and supplies. Clean and prepare work areas before, during, and after service calls. Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing filters, cleaning coils, and removing debris. Assist with ductwork installation and repairs. Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment. Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean working condition. Communicate professionally with customers and team members. Complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous construction, maintenance, or mechanical experience is a plus but not required. Basic understanding of hand and power tools. Ability to learn HVAC systems and industry practices. Strong work ethic and willingness to follow instructions. Reliable transportation and punctual attendance. Valid driver's license preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to work in confined spaces, attics, rooftops, and outdoor environments. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods. Ability to work in varying weather conditions. Skills Mechanical aptitude.
