HVAC Service Technician Reports to:
Field Supervisor and Service Manager General Job Description:
The HVAC Service Technician will be responsible for making service calls to multi-family and light commercial properties for repair and maintenance. Will make a diagnosis and make repair on site.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose HVAC air handlers and condensers. Responsible for inputting service notes and photos in field service application. Work with Project Manager on ordering parts. Communicate with property management. Keep work vehicle stocked with appropriate parts and maintain accurate inventory counts.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of previous experience in HVAC Ability to handle physical workload Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, EPA certification. Valid Texas Driver's License.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic computer/tablet knowledge. Low voltage troubleshooting. Conventional HVAC system changeout knowledge. Compressor changeouts.
Desired qualifications:
VRF, mini split package units training or experience. Experience diagnosing HVAC issues in multi-family apartment buildings.
Essential Physical Functions:
Climbing:
Ascending or descending stairs. Capable of working on rooftops.
Walking:
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
Medium Work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally. Subject to outside environmental conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat for extended periods of time.
