Position Title HVAC Technician Location On-Site North & Central Division (Houston & Freeport Area) Functionally Reports into Superintendent FLSA Status Non-ExemptJOB OBJECTIVE
Norrell Construction is seeking skilled and motivated Industrial/Commercial HVAC Service Technicians to provide exceptional service and quality workmanship on a wide range of HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems, with the ability to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complete HVAC systems in accordance with blueprints and engineering specifications. This position requires a commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and professional excellence while delivering reliable solutions for commercial and industrial clients.REQUIREMENTS RESPONSIBILITIES
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control system issues. Interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering specifications, and project plans to ensure proper system installation and operation. Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, local codes, and industry standards. Perform system start-ups, testing, commissioning, and performance verification of HVAC equipment and controls. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, equipment documentation, and project reports. Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure project success and customer satisfaction. Identify repair and replacement needs and provide recommendations for improving system efficiency and reliability. Manage job-site materials, tools, equipment, and workforce scheduling to maximize productivity. Inspect completed work to verify quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications. Support estimating, project planning, and field coordination efforts as needed. Respond to emergency service calls and assist in resolving critical system failures. Mentor and develop team members to enhance technical skills, safety awareness, and professional growth. Promote a culture of quality, accountability, teamwork, and excellent customer service.QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
UniversalEPA CARD
State HVAC License TDLR Valid Driver's License TWIC PreferredEXPERIENCE
Must have 5+ years as a technician in the HVAC field. Experience/certifications in the electrical field a plusPERSONAL ATTRIBUTES & CAPABILITIES

High School Diploma or Equivalent Formal/Technical EducationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, sit, and perform other physical activities for extended periods throughout the workday. Must be able to effectively communicate with coworkers, supervisors, and customers through speaking and active listening. Frequent use of hands and arms to grasp, handle, reach, lift, carry, push, pull, and operate tools, equipment, and materials. Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders and stairs, and occasionally working from elevated platforms or scaffolding while utilizing required fall protection equipment. Ability to work outdoors and perform duties in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and other environmental elements. Required to wear and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to hard hats, safety glasses or goggles, hearing protection, respirators or masks, high-visibility safety vests, work gloves, and steel-toed work boots. Must be capable of safely navigating active construction and industrial job sites while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. U.S.Only:
