HVAC Operations Manager Schedule:

Monday-Friday, with occasional overtime, on-call, or emergency service as required Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial HVAC Technician to join our service team. The technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning of commercial HVAC and building automation equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, understands commercial HVAC systems, and can work independently while maintaining a professional relationship with customers and facility personnel. Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment.
• Service and maintain RTUs, AHUs, VAV systems, split systems, heat pumps, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors, contactors, relays, transformers, sensors, actuators, VFDs, and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and identify potential equipment failures before they result in downtime.
• Check refrigerant pressures, temperatures, superheat, subcooling, airflow, voltage, amperage, and system operating conditions.
• Troubleshoot and service economizers, dampers, valves, pumps, fans, compressors, and other HVAC components.
• Diagnose BAS/DDC control issues and communicate with building automation systems when applicable.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, sequence of operations, and equipment documentation.
• Perform equipment start-ups, commissioning, and operational testing.
• Document service work, equipment conditions, repairs, parts used, and recommended follow-up work.
• Communicate findings and repair recommendations clearly to customers and management.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, test equipment, and assigned inventory.
• Follow OSHA, company, manufacturer, and applicable local and national safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and professional work area.
• Respond to emergency service calls when required. Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC control systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment systematically and accurately.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to use HVAC diagnostic instruments, including multimeters, gauges, temperature probes, and electrical test equipment.
• EPA 608 certification required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to safely lift equipment/materials and work from ladders and lifts. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with commercial chillers, boilers, cooling towers, VFDs, and large air-handling systems.
• Experience with BAS/DDC controls such as Trane, Carrier, Johnson Controls, Automated Logic, Niagara, or similar systems.
• Experience troubleshooting BACnet, MSTP, LonWorks, or other HVAC communication networks.
• Experience with Liebert/Vertiv, AAON, Carrier, Trane, Daikin, York, or similar commercial equipment.
• Factory training or manufacturer certifications.

• Paid holidays Physical & Working Conditions This position requires working in commercial buildings, mechanical rooms, rooftops, construction areas, and outdoor environments.

The technician may be exposed to extreme temperatures, heights, confined spaces, noise, dust, and moving mechanical equipment. The technician must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull HVAC components and materials as required and safely use ladders, lifts, hand tools, and power tools.
