HVAC Specialist Quality Control Join a Project That Matters Access Communications Group (ACG) is seeking an experienced HVAC Specialist Quality Control professional to support the HVAC Upgrades Project If you have hands-on HVAC construction experience and understand how quality, testing, startup, balancing, commissioning, and documentation impact project success, this is an opportunity to work on a high-profile federal project while expanding your career in construction quality management. This is not a desk job. You will be in the field inspecting mechanical installations, identifying deficiencies before they become problems, supporting the USACE Quality Control process, and ensuring the project is delivered safely and correctly the first time. Key Responsibilities Monitor HVAC and mechanical construction activities for compliance with project requirements. Conduct and document Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up inspections. Support implementation of the USACE Three-Phase Quality Control System. Verify installations conform to approved drawings, submittals, sequencing documents, and manufacturer recommendations. Inspect HVAC equipment and systems before concealment and project turnover. Review and evaluate mechanical installations including: Air Handling Units (AHUs) Evaporative Cooling Units VAV Boxes Ductwork Systems Dampers Refrigerant Piping Condensate Piping Copper Water Systems RO Water Treatment Systems HVAC Controls & BAS Integration Witness HVAC startup activities. Verify pressure testing and duct leakage testing. Review TAB reports and commissioning documentation. Track deficiencies, corrective actions, NCRs, inspections, and quality records. Support RMS/QCS documentation requirements. Verify receiving inspections and approved materials prior to installation. Notify Quality Control Management of conditions adverse to quality. Verify owner training, turnover documentation, and O&M manuals. Required QualificationsMinimum Requirements ✅ 5+ years of verifiable experience in commercial, industrial, or federal HVAC mechanical construction ✅ Hands-on experience with: HVAC systems Ductwork Mechanical piping systems Controls integration Startup and testing TAB activities Commissioning ✅ Ability to: Read mechanical drawings Interpret project specifications Review submittals Understand sequencing requirements Evaluate commissioning requirements ✅ Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability ✅ Excellent documentation and reporting skills ✅ Ability to work full-time on-site at White Sands Missile Range Preferred Qualifications Experience with: USACE projects Department of Defense (DoD) projects Federal construction Military facilities
