Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled A/C and Electrical Technician to join our team! Responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment (including ammonia refrigeration), and building automation systems. Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment; troubleshoot electrical systems to identify faults accurately. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to execute precise repairs or installations. Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems and electrical wiring to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency. Repair or replace mechanical components such as pumps, valves, motors, compressors, and plumbing fixtures associated with HVAC/R systems. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance data for future reference. Assist in the installation of new HVAC equipment and mechanical systems while adhering to project specifications and safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by explaining technical issues clearly to clients or building managers; respond promptly to service requests. Support ongoing maintenance programs to ensure HVAC/R systems operate at peak efficiency; perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks. Use hand tools and specialized diagnostic equipment effectively to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems. Skills Proven construction experience with HVAC system installation and mechanical systems repair. Service technician experience with electrical diagnostics and equipment troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, building automation systems (BAS), and electrical wiring diagrams. Familiarity with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration units; knowledge of HVAC/R industry standards. Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, boiler operation, air conditioning units, and mechanical system repair techniques. Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently; experience with power tools is a plus. Experience working with electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; ability to perform electrical diagnostics accurately. Knowledge of HVAC system maintenance practices including filter replacement, refrigerant charging, system cleaning, and calibration. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; familiarity with HVAC codes and safety regulations. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Experience working on building automation systems (BAS) for climate control management. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment; valid van driver's license preferred for site visits.
