In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance. Your expertise will help keep buildings running smoothly while delivering exceptional service to clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and technical skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems.
EPA CERT
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Conduct equipment troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Service HVAC/R equipment with precision to maximize efficiency and longevity. Assist in the design and planning of HVAC system layouts considering building specifications and client needs. Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used for each job. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about system issues and solutions. Requirements Proven construction experience with a strong background in mechanical systems repair and HVAC installation. Service technician experience in HVAC or related fields is highly preferred. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and building automation system diagrams. Knowledge of HVAC design principles along with plumbing skills for comprehensive system troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters; familiarity with electrical systems is essential. Mechanical knowledge of refrigeration cycles, ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, air conditioning units, and HVAC system maintenance practices. Proficiency with hand tools and equipment repair techniques necessary for effective troubleshooting and repairs. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications such as HVAC/R or Building Automation Systems are advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
