In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Your expertise will help deliver comfortable indoor environments across the Jarrell School District settings, contributing to the safety and satisfaction of our students and staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional eager to apply their mechanical knowledge and technical skills in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. Duties Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, boilers, and refrigeration equipment following schematics and design specifications Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to maximize efficiency and lifespan Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters Diagnose issues related to refrigeration, mechanical systems, electrical wiring, and building automation systems Conduct comprehensive system inspections, including plumbing connections and electrical systems, to identify potential problems before they escalate Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, fans, thermostats, valves, and electrical controls Collaborate with clients to explain system issues clearly and recommend appropriate solutions while providing exceptional customer service Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and logs of all repairs performed Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerants and environmental safety standards Requirements Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with commercial and construction experience preferred Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals accurately Hands-on experience with HVAC system installation, repair, and maintenance in commercial or residential settings Knowledge of electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques using specialized tools like ohmmeters Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and electrical systems within HVAC environments Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently for equipment repair or installation tasks Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Join us in delivering top-tier HVAC solutions that keep environments comfortable while advancing your career in a supportive team environment.
