HVAC Maintenance Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC equipment across various property types. Your expertise will help create comfortable, safe environments for our clients and ensure the seamless functioning of essential building systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced, service-driven environment where proactive maintenance and problem-solving are valued. While in training, you will get $100 per work day. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools Repair or replace faulty components including motors, compressors, valves, pumps, and electrical wiring. Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems such as pipe fittings, drainage issues, and water supply connections. Read and interpret HVAC schematics and design plans to accurately identify system layouts and troubleshoot issues effectively. Operate welding equipment for repairs requiring metal fabrication or component replacement. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and logs for all maintenance activities performed. Assist with field service tasks including appliance repair, property maintenance, and equipment installation when needed. Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper handling of refrigerants like ammonia in refrigeration systems. Drive company vehicles responsibly to various job sites as a driver when required. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems. Proven service technician experience with the ability to diagnose complex system issues efficiently. Familiarity with construction standards and ability to read schematics and design documents accurately. Experience with plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems and property maintenance tasks. Knowledge of refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable. Skilled in equipment repair techniques such as welding and component replacement. Ability to operate diagnostic tools including ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting. Mechanical experience with boilers, pumps, motors, valves, and other HVAC components. Field service experience providing timely repairs in commercial or industrial settings. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record suitable for driver responsibilities.
