As an HVAC Install Helper, you will support experienced professionals in the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn the HVAC trade. Responsibilities
Assist lead installers with the installation of HVAC systems, including equipment placement, ductwork preparation, wiring, and cleanup.
Organize materials, tools, and equipment to ensure jobsite readiness before and during installation activities.
Follow all safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe material handling practices.
Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free jobsites throughout the installation process.
Load and unload installation materials, ensuring all necessary items are available and accounted for.
Support the removal of old equipment and assist with the installation of new systems as directed by the lead installer.
Promptly communicate any obstacles, delays, or safety concerns to the lead installer.
Protect customer property by using floor protection and maintaining a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
Ensure all tools, vehicles, and materials are returned to their designated storage locations and remain ready for use.
Follow company installation standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable code requirements as instructed.
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with coworkers and customers.
Willingness to learn and adhere to company safety and installation standards.
Physical ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as required for HVAC installations.
Basic organizational skills and the ability to maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Professional appearance and conduct, especially when working at customer locations.
Previous experience in construction, HVAC, or related fields is a plus but not required.
