Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, where your expertise will keep buildings comfortable, safe, and energy-efficient. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and industrial settings. Your mechanical knowledge and technical skills will ensure optimal system performance while providing exceptional customer service to clients. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems in accordance with design specifications and schematics. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and extend system lifespan. Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Troubleshoot mechanical systems, refrigeration units, electrical systems, and plumbing components to identify root causes of malfunctions. Conduct equipment repairs or replacements swiftly to minimize downtime and maintain optimal building conditions. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to execute installations or repairs accurately. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for each project or service call. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs or maintenance procedures clearly and professionally. Requirements Proven experience as an HVAC technician with a strong background in HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance. Construction experience is highly desirable for understanding building integration processes. Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems including ammonia refrigeration is preferred. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and building automation system layouts accurately. Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, electrical diagnostics, boiler operation, and mechanical systems repair. Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications related to HVAC design or electrical systems are a plus. Experience working with mechanical systems repair in commercial or industrial environments. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; van driver experience is advantageous.
