In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential settings. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and system reliability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and technical skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering exceptional service and comfort. Duties Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure peak performance and energy efficiency. Repair mechanical systems including pumps, fans, compressors, and ventilation components while adhering to safety standards. Diagnose complex issues involving refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration systems, plumbing connections, and electrical wiring. Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders promptly, and communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs or system upgrades. Skills Proven construction experience with HVAC system installation and mechanical systems repair. Service technician experience with troubleshooting HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) equipment. Strong understanding of schematics, technical drawings, and building automation systems. Knowledge of HVAC design principles to assist in system upgrades or new installations. Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC units and refrigerant lines. Ability to perform electrical diagnostics using specialized tools like ohmmeters and voltmeters. Mechanical knowledge of HVAC components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, valves, and thermostats. Skilled in the use of hand tools for equipment repair and maintenance tasks. Experience working with boilers, air conditioning units, ammonia refrigeration systems, and electrical systems within buildings. Customer service skills to explain technical issues clearly to clients while maintaining professionalism. Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants; additional certifications in HVAC/R preferred.
