In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and troubleshooting of HVAC/R systems, including refrigeration, air conditioning, boilers, electrical systems, and mechanical components. Conduct system repairs and maintenance to ensure peak performance and energy efficiency. Install new HVAC/R equipment following schematics, HVAC design plans, and manufacturer specifications. Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and building automation system layouts to facilitate accurate repairs and installations. Utilize hand tools, electrical diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, and specialized equipment to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and reports documenting all repairs, inspections, and system upgrades. Provide excellent customer service by explaining technical issues clearly and ensuring client satisfaction throughout every interaction. Qualifications Proven experience as an HVAC/R Service Technician with a strong background in system repair, maintenance, and installation. Construction experience or familiarity with building construction is highly desirable. Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, plumbing systems, refrigeration cycles, and mechanical systems repair. Skilled in electrical diagnostics including troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Mechanical knowledge of HVAC equipment including boilers, air conditioning units, ammonia refrigeration systems, and building automation controls. Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently; experience with equipment troubleshooting is essential. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications related to HVAC/R are a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. A valid van driver's license is required for on-site travel between job sites.
