Job Description
QA HVAC Service Tech United States Home Services (USHS) - Austin, TX About Us United States Home Services is a growing home services company specializing in HVAC, insulation, plumbing, and energy-efficiency solutions. We are looking for a hands-on, experienced technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and understands how residential systems should operate as a whole. Position Overview The is a W2 position. We are hiring a QA Service Tech with 3-6 years of field experience in HVAC and residential service work. This is not a supervisor or management role — we are specifically seeking a technician with strong troubleshooting ability and broad trade knowledge. The ideal candidate understands both HVAC service and installation, can diagnose why a system is not operating according to manufacturer standards, and is comfortable handling a variety of field tasks beyond HVAC alone. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot residential HVAC systems Identify installation or performance issues and recommend corrective solutions Verify systems are operating according to Lennox and manufacturer specifications Perform basic HVAC service and installation support Complete minor plumbing-related tasks when needed Perform basic electrical work, including: Running circuits from electrical panels Understanding wire sizing, loads, and breaker requirements Complete basic roofing work related to HVAC penetrations and exhaust systems Replace or install roof penetrations for metal and PVC gas exhaust systems Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate findings clearly Deliver high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service Qualifications Starting pay is $25 an hour. 4-8 years of hands-on HVAC field experience Apartment maintenance experience with\Hvac troubleshooting experience is a very big plus Strong HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience with HVAC installation practices Basic plumbing knowledge Basic residential electrical knowledge Basic roofing experience preferred EPA Certification preferred Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to work independently and problem-solve in the field Preferred Background Apartment maintenance or multi-family maintenance experience is a major plus Technicians with multi-trade experience are highly encouraged to apply Compensation & Benefits Company truck provided Gas card provided Full-time stable position Long-term growth opportunity Supportive team environment Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday Candidates will be evaluated within 60 - 90 days Austin, TX - north Austin area near
