Job Description
Position Summary The Tier 1 Technician is a sales-focused HVAC role responsible for diagnosing system issues, presenting solutions, and closing replacement or major repair opportunities. This position primarily supports other technicians by running tech-generated leads (TGLs) and serving as a senior resource in the home. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Respond to tech-generated leads (TGLs) Diagnose HVAC systems and identify replacement or major repair opportunities Present solutions and close sales in the home Act as a second opinion / senior technician presence for customers Coordinate with dispatch to schedule installs at time of sale Maintain a professional, consultative approach with customers Support training and development of Tier 2 technicians through field interaction Utilize downtime to follow up on leads and generate additional opportunities Qualifications 5+ years HVAC experience Strong diagnostic and system knowledge Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with customers Strong understanding of HVAC components and repair processes Proven sales record (Minimum of $1.5 million annual sales) • Effectively convert internal leads into booked installs
