Field Service Technician - HVAC/R

About the Role We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team, focusing on the maintenance and repair of complex climate control and cooling infrastructure. You will play a vital role in ensuring operational continuity for our clients by leveraging your expertise in mechanical diagnostics and system optimization. Responsibilities Execute precise diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve mechanical or electrical failures in large-scale cooling and heating systems. Drive system longevity and efficiency by performing comprehensive preventative maintenance and routine inspections. Manage the end-to-end installation of HVAC/R components, ensuring all setups meet rigorous performance standards. Optimize client facility environments by servicing diverse equipment, including RTUs, boilers, and complex refrigeration loops. Translate technical findings into actionable repair recommendations that improve system reliability for the customer. Maintain accurate service documentation and digital work orders to ensure transparent communication of field activities. Uphold the highest standards of safety and professional conduct while operating company-provided mobile resources. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC/R field service. Current EPA Universal Certification. Graduate of an accredited technical training program in HVAC/R technology. Proficiency in interpreting complex wiring schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to perform physical tasks including ladder work, heavy lifting, and navigating varied environmental conditions. Preferred Skills Demonstrated expertise in servicing multi-site retail or commercial facility portfolios. Advanced proficiency in building automation and complex control system programming. Additional industry-recognized certifications in specialized refrigeration or heating technologies.
