Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a HVAC Service Technician and become a vital part of delivering top-tier heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration solutions. In this energetic role, you will leverage your extensive mechanical knowledge and technical expertise to troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain complex HVAC systems across diverse commercial and industrial settings. Your proactive approach and customer-focused attitude will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and client satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead projects, mentor junior technicians, and contribute to innovative HVAC solutions that keep buildings comfortable and operational year-round. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair a wide range of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems using schematics, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters. Perform comprehensive HVAC system installations, upgrades, and preventative maintenance to ensure peak performance and energy efficiency. Read and interpret detailed schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to accurately execute system repairs or installations. Conduct electrical diagnostics on HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems and mechanical systems to identify issues swiftly and implement effective solutions. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to troubleshoot equipment failures, repair electrical systems, plumbing components, building automation systems (BAS), and mechanical systems. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, incident logs, and documentation for all work performed. Provide exceptional customer service by clearly communicating technical information to clients while ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Experience Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance in commercial or industrial environments. Construction experience is highly desirable for understanding building integration and complex system setups. Hands-on experience with HVAC design principles, schematics reading, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration systems, plumbing connections, boiler operation, and building automation systems. Familiarity with HVAC/R equipment troubleshooting techniques using tools like ohmmeters and multimeters. Mechanical knowledge encompassing mechanical systems repair including fans, pumps, valves, ductwork, and mechanical system controls. Valid EPA certification for refrigerants is required; additional certifications related to electrical systems or HVAC/R are a plus. Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently while adhering to safety standards; valid van driver's license preferred for on-site travel. Pay:
$33.07 - $41.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
