Lead Residential HVAC Installer About SSI:
Service Specialties Inc. (SSI) is a respected HVAC company serving Northern Virginia since 1979. We are committed to providing excellent service to our residential clients and fostering a positive team environment. We're looking for an experienced Lead Residential HVAC Installer to join our friendly crew! What You'll Do Take the lead on HVAC installation projects, ensuring quality work and timely completion. Install and replace HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork. Test and verify system performance for optimal operation. Troubleshoot installation challenges and resolve issues efficiently. Guide, mentor, and support junior installers and apprentices onsite. Follow safety guidelines, building codes, and regulations. Communicate clearly with customers, teammates, and project managers. Keep accurate records of completed jobs and materials used. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 5 years of HVAC installation experience, including 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and installation techniques. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and as a team leader. Leadership and mentorship abilities. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Own hand tools for the job. Preferred Qualifications Technical school or vocational training in HVAC. Relevant certifications (EPA, NATE, etc.). Experience with residential HVAC replacements specifically. Physical Requirements Lift and carry up to 50+ lbs. Work in different weather conditions and confined spaces. Climb ladders, bend, and kneel as needed.
