Stable, Rewarding Work with a Trusted Local Property Management Company Neighborhood Properties, Inc. is a privately held real estate development, investment and management company based in Charlottesville, VA. For 40 years, we have been acquiring, developing, renovating, and operating high quality residential rental properties. We are looking for an experienced Heating/Air Conditioning Mechanic for our properties in Charlottesville. Our ideal candidate has at least five years of professional HVAC repair experience and can work independently. If you have diagnostic expertise, top-tier troubleshooting skills, and a strong work ethic, we offer top pay for your specialized skills. Experience supervising is preferred but not required.
Job Duties:
Inspect:
Inspect current HVAC systems for efficiency and safety
Maintain:
Perform routine maintenance and necessary repairs
Install:
Install new heat pumps, air handlers, and related equipment
Manage:
Track parts, tools, HVAC resources, and equipment inventory accurately
Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications :
Completion of an HVAC training program at a vocational school or apprenticeship, current state HVAC Journeyman or Master license Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants required Proficient with manual and power tools Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems Familiarity with refrigerate processes and equipment repair techniques Ability to read and interpret schematics and design plans Experience in field service operations related to HVAC systems Proficient in plumbing tasks associated with HVAC installations Soldering skills required Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Drug test and criminal background screening. Applicants are not required to disclose any information concerning any arrest, charge, or conviction that has been sealed. Valid driver's license with no DUI or reckless driving within past 5 years What we offer: This is a full-time position with an excellent and comprehensive benefit package including employer-paid health insurance, a retirement plan with 3% match, dental & vision insurance option, employee housing discount, three weeks paid-time-off per year, and eight paid holidays per year.
