This is a field-based position for an experienced technician who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and solving problems for customers. You'll service a diverse commercial customer base including schools, colleges, municipal buildings, healthcare facilities, fire stations, courthouses and other large commercial facilities. This company invests heavily in its technicians through ongoing technical training, team support and opportunities to continue expanding your HVAC and controls knowledge. What You'll Do Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment and systems Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and service Diagnose mechanical and electrical HVAC issues Respond to customer service calls and determine the source of equipment problems Work with building automation and controls technicians when issues cross between mechanical equipment and control systems Communicate directly with facility managers and customers regarding equipment issues, repairs and recommendations Complete service documentation accurately and promptly Travel to customer locations throughout your assigned territory Participate in ongoing safety and technical training What We're Looking For 3+ years or more of commercial HVAC service experience Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience performing preventative maintenance and HVAC service Solid understanding of commercial HVAC equipment, mechanical systems and electrical components Ability to work independently in the field and know when to bring in additional technical resources Strong customer service and communication skills Resourceful, dependable and self-motivated Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to pass required background and drug screening Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls or DDC systems is a plus, but this position is primarily focused on commercial HVAC service. Compensation & Benefits $40

Technicians travel directly to customer locations and are not required to report to the office every day. Most travel is within Virginia and takes place during the workday.
