Share Share Email Post Share Industry leader in mission-critical mechanical services is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician III to support high-reliability environments across Northern Virginia, with a primary focus on data centers . In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on complex commercial and industrial HVAC systems that demand maximum uptime and precision performance. You'll work with advanced cooling infrastructure—supporting critical loads—while continuing to deepen your troubleshooting expertise and technical leadership. Sign-on bonus will be considered for qualified candidates. Primary Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC systems, including logging equipment data, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters and belts, and ensuring proper lubrication Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues across equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, rooftop units, and water-source systems Inspect and maintain systems to proactively identify risks and prevent downtime in mission-critical environments Analyze chiller and system trend data to optimize performance, efficiency, and reliability Execute warranty-related service by testing and verifying proper system operation Lead equipment rebuilds and retrofits; mentor and guide junior technicians through hands-on training and best practices Accurately document service activities including work orders, time reporting, and inventory usage Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear status updates and translating technical findings into actionable insights Participate in ongoing technical training and maintain required certifications Uphold safety standards, regulatory compliance, and a clean, organized work environment Support rotational on-call coverage and occasional overnight travel as needed What's in It for You Ongoing technical training and professional development in advanced HVAC systems Hands-on experience with critical infrastructure and cutting-edge cooling technologies Company-provided vehicle, tools, and mobile technology Career growth opportunities in a fast-evolving, high-demand sector A collaborative, inclusive work environment focused on innovation and continuous improvement The chance to make a direct impact on the reliability and sustainability of data center operations Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of progressive HVAC service experience (or 7+ years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience) High school diploma or GED; technical HVAC training preferred Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record EPA Universal Technician Certification (as required) Ability to participate in rotational emergency/on-call service Required licenses or certifications per local regulations Work authorization required (no sponsorship available) Preferred Qualifications Strong background in commercial/industrial HVAC, especially in data center or critical environments Experience mentoring or leading junior technicians OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain) Current First Aid/CPR certification Benefits Multiple medical plan options, plus dental and vision coverage 401(k) with employer match Company-paid life insurance and optional supplemental coverage Short-term and long-term disability 120 hours (3 weeks) of
