Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Technician / Repair Plumber to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems, plumbing, and related mechanical systems across various commercial and residential settings. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Perform plumbing repairs and installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and electrical schematics; troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC and plumbing setups. Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns and improve efficiency. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately execute system installations or repairs. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system issues clearly and recommending appropriate solutions. Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for accountability and future reference. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong foundation in mechanical systems repair and installation. Service technician experience in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) environments. Knowledge of HVAC system design principles and building automation systems. Skilled in plumbing installation and repair techniques; familiarity with refrigeration systems is a plus. Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical diagnostics effectively. Mechanical knowledge of HVAC equipment including boilers, air conditioning units, pumps, fans, and ductwork. Proficient with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pipe cutters, and specialized diagnostic tools like ohmmeters. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a driver vehicle if required. EPA certification for refrigerant handling is mandatory; additional certifications in HVAC or plumbing are advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
