Position Description:
Seeking an experienced Master Mechanical Technician to oversee and manage HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration systems at our Vienna, VA, headquarters. This contract role requires a hands-on leader capable of managing mechanical operations, troubleshooting complex systems, and ensuring compliance with local and state mechanical codes. Candidates must demonstrate strong technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to respond promptly to on-site emergencies. Ideal for professionals within 45 minutes of Merrifield for quick response needs.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee mechanical system operations, including HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration. Lead maintenance activities and ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical system issues across a range of equipment. Ensure compliance with all relevant mechanical codes and regulations. Coordinate emergency repairs and coordinate with vendors as needed. Maintain detailed documentation of system performance and maintenance activities.
Top Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration systems. Virginia HVAC Journeyman or Master License required (please include a copy in your application). Strong technical knowledge of mechanical system maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostics. Experience managing mechanical operations in commercial environments. Ability to work onsite at Merrifield, VA and respond promptly to emergencies. Proven ability to interpret and apply state and local mechanical codes.
