Job Details:
$26- 30 an hour to start, with +$2
- 3 an hour conditional increase within 12 months.
Reports to:
Lakewood, WA shop with paid travel time to jobs, primary worksite inKent/Seattle Area Shifts Available:
Mon-Fri, Sun-Th or Tues-Sat 7:30-4:00pm Overtime, and On-Call participation is required. Job Duties (Training is provided): Repair and maintain HVAC systems, including diagnosing issues, performing system diagnostics, refrigerant recovery/charging (EPA 608 compliant), component replacement and various testing for our customers. Oversee preventative maintenance programs by conducting detailed equipment inspections, servicing coils and filters, verifying controls and electrical integrity, documenting performance metrics, identifying failure risks, and recommending corrective actions to customers or management. Perform routine maintenance on fuel dispensers (Wayne, Gilbarco, etc.), including replacing nozzles and breakaway hoses. Use hand tools (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers) and power tools (drills) for maintenance tasks. Troubleshoot and repair fuel dispenser leaks, such as leaking nozzles, pumps, valves. Replace O-rings, gaskets, and basic piping fixtures. Assist with tank monitoring and sump pump operations. Install or replace sump pumps. Perform pressure testing, replace meters, filters and faulty components. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues at dispensers or Point of Sale (POS) systems. Follow job documents and safety protocols, take detailed job notes and update relevant systems with laptop or iPad. Set up safety equipment and barricades as needed. Maintain a well-organized and fully stocked company vehicle, ensuring it is clean and functional. Drive to customer sites and shop locations daily, with occasional overnight stays (paid). This job duties list is not exhaustive. You will be trained and certified as your career progresses to do more advanced technical work related to servicing the fuel industry.Your Qualifications:
Current HVAC certification, such as EPA 608 (Universal preferred) is preferred. NATE certification, HVAC Excellence (Professional or Master Specialist), or a Washington StateEL06A/EL06B
HVAC/Refrigeration electrical specialty license (or ability to obtain) is a plus. 1-3 years of hands-on HVAC experience, including independent diagnostics, repair, refrigerant handling, electrical troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of residential and/or commercial systems. Mechanical Skills- experience with hand tools (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers) and some basic power tools (drills) is required. Basic Computer Skills
