Duties Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, and ventilation equipment in residential properties Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure precise system installation and configuration Perform routine maintenance on existing HVAC systems to optimize performance and extend lifespan Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and plumbing components to diagnose issues accurately Repair or replace faulty equipment such as compressors, fans, thermostats, electrical wiring, and control systems Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters to identify wiring or component failures Ensure all work complies with safety standards including EPA regulations for refrigerants and building codes Skills Construction experience with familiarity in building automation systems and property maintenance practices Service technician experience with HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical systems repair Knowledge of electrical systems diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques Proficiency with hand tools and power tools necessary for installation and repair tasks Mechanical knowledge related to boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, and air conditioning units Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams accurately for precise system setup Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about system operation and maintenance needs Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications such as HVAC/R or electrical licenses are a plus Experience driving a van or service vehicle safely to various job sites Join us if you're passionate about delivering top-quality HVAC solutions!
