This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical expertise, troubleshoot complex equipment, and ensure optimal indoor climate conditions. As a vital part of our property maintenance team, you'll deliver reliable service that keeps facilities running smoothly and efficiently. Your hands-on skills and proactive approach will make a tangible difference in creating comfortable, safe environments for our clients and their occupants. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment (including ammonia refrigeration), and related mechanical components. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults accurately. Conduct equipment repairs or replacements involving welding, plumbing, or other mechanical techniques to restore system functionality promptly. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols. Assist in HVAC design modifications or upgrades by interpreting schematics and technical drawings to improve system efficiency. Operate field service vehicles safely while adhering to all transportation regulations as a driver when traveling between sites. Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving HVAC/R systems, appliance repair, or property maintenance tasks to deliver comprehensive solutions. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician within construction or property maintenance environments with a focus on HVAC systems. Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R equipment including refrigeration (especially ammonia refrigeration), boilers, air conditioning units, and related systems. Skilled in reading schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design documents for accurate troubleshooting and repairs. Hands-on experience with plumbing systems, appliance repair, welding techniques, and equipment repair procedures. Familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters for diagnosing system issues. Ability to operate heavy machinery or specialized tools safely in field service settings. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for operating service vehicles as needed. Knowledge of safety standards related to ammonia refrigeration and boiler operation is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities to coordinate effectively with team members and clients.
