Commercial Mechanical Trade:
Journeyman Commercial HVAC Service Technician Wanted! Are you a seasoned, analytical HVAC technician with 5-10 years of field service experience, strong electrical troubleshooting skills, and the independent drive to diagnose complex commercial mechanical systems? American Workforce Group has partnered with a premier commercial heating, cooling, and refrigeration mechanical contractor serving Clark County, WA and the surrounding regional area to hire a full-time Journeyman Commercial HVAC Service Technician . In this high-autonomy field position, you will perform preventative maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and emergency service calls across varied commercial systems ranging from mini-splits and VRF units to 100+ ton RTUs, built-ups, chillers, and building automation controls. Commercial HVAC Service Technician:
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, system diagnostics, and emergency repair service calls across commercial and light industrial properties. Troubleshoot, service, and repair diverse commercial mechanical systems, including: Rooftop Units (RTUs) ranging from 2 tons to 100+ tons Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) and multi-zone Mini-Split systems Gas packaged units, split systems, and large built-up air handlers Commercial chillers, boilers, and hydronic systems (Major Plus!) Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and automated building management systems (Major Plus!) Independently diagnose complex electrical circuitry, low-voltage control loops, compressor failures, and refrigerant circuit issues. Communicate clearly, professionally, and courteously with building managers, facility directors, and property owners regarding technical findings and repair solutions. Maintain accurate electronic service logs, work orders, parts inventory, and diagnostic reports using company-supplied mobile tech. Strictly adhere to EPA guidelines, OSHA safety protocols, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and facility compliance standards. Details for

Pay Rate:
$25.00 - $35.00+ / hour (Scaling based on verifiable depth of field experience, licensing, and trade capabilities / DOE).
Schedule:
Full-Time Day Shift | Monday - Friday (With on-call/overtime rotation as service demands require).
Location:
Clark County, WA & surrounding regional service territory.
Position Type:

Commercial HVAC Service Technician:
5-10 years of verifiable commercial HVAC service, diagnostic, and maintenance experience.
Licensing:
EPA Universal Certification required. WA 06A (HVAC/Refrigeration Electrical) or LEB (Limited Energy / Low Voltage) license is a
HUGE PLUS
. Strong hands-on troubleshooting proficiency across RTUs (up to 100+ tons), gas packs, splits, VRF, and electrical controls. Chiller, boiler, and DDC controls experience strongly desired. Self-directed mindset—must be able to think independently, solve problems on the fly, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Valid Driver's License with a CLEAN driving record strictly required. Excellent interpersonal and customer service communication skills.
