Our technicians are trained to professionally install and service Clean Burn systems safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. If you enjoy hands-on mechanical work, working at customer sites, and developing a specialized technical skillset, this role may be a strong fit. Overview We are hiring a Service & Installation Technician to install, maintain, and repair Clean Burn waste-oil furnaces. This is a hands-on field role requiring mechanical aptitude, comfort working at heights, and a professional customer-facing approach. You do not need prior Clean Burn experience; full training is provided . However, candidates with a background or strong interest in mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work will excel. Work Schedule & Location Full-time, Monday-Friday (40 hours/week) Overtime during peak season Work performed primarily at customer sites Typical travel: 30 minutes to 2 hours from the shop Weekends off Key Responsibilities Install, service, and maintain Clean Burn waste-oil furnaces Build and install chimneys (work at heights required) Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Perform preventative maintenance and system cleanings Educate customers on safe operation and routine maintenance Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and proper lifting practices Represent DSI professionally at customer sites Qualifications & Skills We provide full training, but the following will help you succeed: Comfortable working on ladders and at heights (required) Mechanical aptitude and confidence using tools Background or exposure to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or general construction (preferred) Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Customer-service mindset with clear communication Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Able to work independently and as part of a team Eager to grow into a long-term service technician role Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to travel to customer sites In-person work based out of Janesville, WI Perks & Benefits Full paid training Tools provided Company-paid uniforms Paid vacation and holidays Overtime opportunities Weekends off Dental, Medical, Vision Coverage Life insurance Company phone Our Commitment DSI is committed to providing a respectful, supportive work environment.
