About the Role WHV, Inc., an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking an experienced Journeyman-level Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for professionals with strong commercial HVAC knowledge, excellent technical skills, and a commitment to high-quality service and customer relationships. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain a wide variety of commercial HVAC systems. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on HVAC and control systems. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage control issues. Interpret and work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Communicate clearly with customers regarding service performed and recommended solutions. Complete accurate and timely service documentation. Install and service building automation systems. Follow all safety regulations, building codes, and company procedures. Participate in on-call rotation as needed. Qualifications Journeyman HVAC license (Iowa or ability to obtain reciprocity). Strong blueprint-reading skills and experience with a wide variety of commercial HVAC and control systems. Background in electrical systems and wiring diagrams required. Positive attitude, strong mechanical aptitude, and a customer-focused mindset. EPA, Boiler, and Low Voltage Wiring licenses are beneficial but not required. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in various indoor/outdoor environments. Background and/or experience in testing, adjusting and balancing a plus, but not required. Compensation & Benefits Wages commensurate with experience. Competitive benefits package available.
