We believe Clear Communication is essential for effective teamwork. Job Summary We are currently seeking immediate applicants for a full-time Refrigeration & Ammonia Technician. The position is responsible for the overall plant refrigeration system. Duties and Responsibilities Maintains and troubleshoots evaporators, heat exchangers, liquid ammonia transfer pumps, purging system, pump-out system, circulation pumps, makeup equipment, valves & condensers. Maintenance and repair of compressed air systems. Maintenance and repair of glycol system. Water treatment, including but not limited to chemical testing, reverse osmosis system operation and de-aeration system operation and maintenance. Boiler system maintenance, including pump/motor replacement & alignment. Required involvement in safety response team. Minimum Qualifications Degree in HVAC or equivalent from a technical school or college, or minimum 3 years experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems and components. Must be able to work well with others in a team environment and possess excellent problem solving and communication skills. Must be able to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds. Must demonstrate strong mechanical skills, complete confined space training and successfully pass respirator fit testing. Must be able to pass a post-offer drug screening, occupational health exam and background check.
