From time to time you'll also lend a hand on water heater installs, generator installs, and repairs — that's a bonus for building your skills, not the core of the job. Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related equipment, ductwork, and controls Set and connect equipment, run line sets, and make electrical and gas connections to code Recover, charge, and handle refrigerants — including A2L systems (R-454B / R-32) — per EPA and manufacturer requirements Start up and test new systems, and confirm they're operating to spec before you leave Complete install checklists and job documentation with photos Keep the job site clean and leave customers' homes better than you found them Coordinate with your crew lead and the office on materials, timing, and scheduling As needed: help out with water heater installs, generator installs, and repair calls On-call is possible but not likely What We're Looking For Required High school diploma or GED 2+ years of hands-on HVAC install experience (residential and/or light commercial) EPA Section 608 certification — Type II or Universal Valid Wisconsin driver's license with an insurable driving record Solid mechanical ability — you can read an install manual and wiring diagram and work cleanly Reliable, safety-minded, and able to put in a full day of physical work Professional, respectful presence in customers' homes Nice to Have NATE certification Ductwork fabrication or sheet metal experience Water heater, generator, or plumbing experience Refrigeration or controls background We'll also talk to strong apprentices and second-year installers. If you've got the aptitude and the attitude, we'll train the rest. The Physical Side This is field work. You'll need to be able to safely: Lift and carry up to 75 lbs on your own, and team-lift heavier equipment Lift up to 25 lbs to shoulder height or overhead Climb ladders and work at height, including rooftops Work in attics, crawl spaces, and mechanical rooms Kneel, crouch, and reach overhead repeatedly Work outdoors in Wisconsin weather, year-round

Pay:

$22.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 45.0 per week
