Job Summary To Apply for this Job Click Here Lead Installer - Traverse City, MI Take the Lead on High-Quality HVAC Installs If you're an experienced HVAC installer who takes pride in doing the job right and enjoys helping less-experienced technicians get better, this is an opportunity to step into a true lead role. We're looking for an HVAC Lead Installer in Traverse City, MI to take ownership of residential and light commercial installations from start to finish. You'll lead projects in the field, guide junior installers, troubleshoot challenges, and make sure every job meets high standards for quality, safety, and customer service. This is a year-round opportunity with strong hourly pay, excellent equipment, continued training, and a company that invests in its people. Pay & Benefits $38.46-$48.08/hour , depending on experience, certifications, and licensing Fuel card Company phone & tablet Fully stocked truck with top-of-the-line tools Medical, dental, and vision insurance PTO 401(k) with up to 4% company match Tuition reimbursement Paid continuing education Boot & tool reimbursement Relocation assistance What You'll Be Doing Take the lead on residential HVAC installations from kickoff through completion Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and related HVAC equipment Direct jobsite activities and keep projects moving safely and efficiently Read installation plans and ensure work meets code and company standards Train and mentor apprentices and junior installers in the field Troubleshoot installation challenges and determine practical solutions Monitor labor hours and help keep projects on schedule and within budget Communicate with homeowners and provide a professional customer experience Explain equipment operation and preventative maintenance to customers Complete installation documentation, timecards, and required paperwork Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment Coordinate with service technicians, dispatch, and project leadership What We're Looking For 4+ years of residential HVAC installation experience Hands-on experience installing: Forced-air furnaces Air conditioning systems Mini-split systems Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to independently lead HVAC installations with minimal supervision Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability and willingness to train less-experienced installers Professional communication and customer service skills Comfortable using tablets and mobile technology Ability to climb ladders and perform the physical requirements of HVAC installation Ability to explain HVAC systems and equipment to homeowners Stable work history; 2+ years with recent employers preferred Even Better If You Have EPA Universal Certification NATE Certification or willingness to obtain it Residential boiler installation experience Light commercial HVAC installation experience Preventative maintenance knowledge Low-voltage wiring experience The Right Fit You take pride in clean, professional installations and don't cut corners.
