Job Description

Access (ACSI) is looking for a Service Technician to join our growing Service Operations team. This role is responsible for the technical execution of service work on mission-critical power, cooling, and monitoring systems where equipment reliability and uptime matter . This is a hands-on field position for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, solving problems, working with customers, and continuing to build their technical expertise. You will work across commercial and critical infrastructure environments, with exposure to equipment from manufacturers such as Vertiv/Liebert and other leading manufacturers . What You'll Do Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and mission-critical HVAC, cooling, power, and related equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and identify developing equipment issues before they become failures. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, controls, and system-performance issues. Perform equipment startup, functional testing, commissioning, and post-repair verification. Work with equipment such as precision cooling systems, CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, AHUs, DOAS, split systems, VRF, heat pumps, fans, humidification/dehumidification systems, and related controls. Support service work involving critical power and monitoring environments, including UPS-associated infrastructure and facility monitoring systems. Use manufacturer documentation, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and diagnostic information to determine root cause and appropriate corrective action. Document service work accurately, including equipment condition, findings, parts used, repairs completed, and recommended next steps. Identify worn, failing, or aging components and communicate service, parts, and lifecycle opportunities to the Service Operations team. Communicate directly with customers and facility personnel regarding equipment condition, work performed, and recommendations. Coordinate with Dispatch, Parts, Service Intelligence, and Service Management to ensure service work moves efficiently from diagnosis through completion. Maintain a safe, organized, and professional job site and follow all company, customer, OSHA, electrical, and safety requirements. What We're Looking For Commercial or industrial HVAC/service experience. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability. Experience diagnosing refrigeration and HVAC systems. Ability to read wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment documentation. Ability to work independently in the field while communicating effectively with the service team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to determine root cause rather than simply treating symptoms. EPA certification appropriate to the work performed. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites. Comfortable working around critical infrastructure where safety, accuracy, and uptime are important. Experience That Will Set You Apart Commercial or industrial HVAC experience. Precision cooling or data center experience. Liebert/Vertiv experience. Experience with
CRAC/CRAH
systems, chillers, AHUs, DOAS, VRF, or other commercial systems. Electrical controls, BAS, or building automation experience. Experience with UPS, power distribution, generators, or other critical power infrastructure. Manufacturer-specific technical training. Experience troubleshooting controls, sensors, communication networks, or monitoring systems. What Success Looks Like You diagnose problems logically and accurately. You perform safe, quality repairs and verify the equipment is operating correctly before leaving the site. Your service documentation is complete and useful to the next person who works on the equipment. Customers understand what you found, what you did, and what needs to happen next. You recognize problems beyond the immediate repair and communicate them to the team. You continue expanding your technical capability across HVAC, cooling, power, controls, and monitoring. You take ownership of the work assigned to you from arrival through completion. Why Access Access (ACSI) supports the infrastructure that businesses and organizations depend on every day. Our work spans Power, HVAC, Monitoring, and Reliability , with a focus on keeping critical systems running. Our technicians have the opportunity to work with complex equipment, receive manufacturer training, expand across multiple technical disciplines, and build a career in critical infrastructure service.
