Job Description
H.E. Neumann & Company is seeking a motivated and dependable Residential HVAC Installer Helper to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or advance a career in the HVAC industry. Working alongside experienced Lead Installers, you will assist with the installation of residential heating and cooling systems while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a supportive, safety-focused environment. Responsibilities Assist Lead Installers with the installation and replacement of residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and indoor air quality products. Load, unload, organize, and transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites. Remove and dispose of existing HVAC equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Assist with installing ductwork, line sets, condensate drains, venting, thermostats, and other HVAC components under supervision. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times. Properly use and care for company vehicles, tools, and equipment. Follow all company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and manufacturer installation specifications. Provide courteous and professional service while working in customers' homes. Learn HVAC installation techniques and industry best practices from experienced installers. Perform other duties as assigned to support the installation team. Qualifications Previous construction, mechanical, or HVAC experience is a plus but not required. Willingness to learn and develop a career in the HVAC trade. Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and dependable attendance. Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred. EPA Certification is a plus but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to climb ladders and work in attics, crawl spaces, and other confined spaces. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and temperatures. Ability to stand, kneel, bend, crouch, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
