About the Role As a Mechanical Assembler and Fabricator, you will play a critical role in bringing complex automated and robotic systems to life. You will utilize your technical expertise in welding, machining, and precision assembly to transform engineering concepts into high-performance industrial equipment. Responsibilities Execute high-quality MIG and TIG welding on various metals to construct robust machine frames and components. Interpret complex mechanical blueprints and schematics to assemble custom automation systems with precision. Perform manual machining and component modifications to ensure perfect fitment and alignment of mechanical parts. Diagnose mechanical failures and implement effective repairs to maintain optimal system performance and reliability. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to provide feedback on design, serviceability, and assembly efficiency. Travel to customer facilities to oversee equipment installation, startup, and functional verification. Maintain a safe, organized workspace while adhering to all OSHA and site-specific safety protocols. Qualifications Required Skills 2+ years of experience in mechanical fabrication, industrial maintenance, or equipment assembly. Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques on mild and stainless steel. Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly specifications. Demonstrated experience using precision measuring tools, power tools, and manual machining equipment. Aptitude for mechanical troubleshooting and identifying root causes of equipment issues. Willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time for field service and installation support. Preferred Skills Technical degree or certification in Mechatronics, Welding, or Industrial Maintenance. Prior experience in custom machine building, systems integration, or robotics. Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and power-transmission components. Current certifications such as OSHA 10/30, forklift operation, or aerial lift training.
