Job Summary:
Responsible to repair, install, adjust, or maintain industrial production and processing machinery to keep the equipment and the facilities in compliance with regulations, certification specifications, and with minimal down time to ensure production goals.
Reports To:
Equipment Services Manager Essential Functions:
Repairs or troubleshoot production equipment; provides adjustments or calibrations as needed throughout the facility. Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning production equipment. Maintains production equipment according to established procedures. Observe and test the operation of production equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices Disassemble production equipment to remove parts and make repairs Reassemble production equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs Operate newly repaired production equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose production equipment problems Record parts, materials and repairs or maintenance performed Study blueprints or manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of production equipment. Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new production equipment. Perform duties safely and to report unsafe conditions or actions. Assists in other duties as needed and directed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Must be dependable and resourceful to meet immediate deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Broad knowledge of data processing systems, concepts, and methodologies. Maintains high level of accuracy in all aspects of job function. Maintains excellent oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communications skills. Team player with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
