  • $50/hr Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Machine Technician to join our manufacturing facility.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems will be essential in supporting our operational goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced automation technologies, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and contribute to a dynamic team committed to excellence. Candidates with industrial mechanic experience, strong analysis skills, and a background in industrial maintenance are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment using schematics and technical manuals. Troubleshoot electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage components, utilizing tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in machinery operation. Operate and service hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting hydraulics issues and replacing components as needed. Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, maintenance history, and inventory levels. Conduct field service activities involving the repair of machinery on-site or at customer locations. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings for complex mechanical and electrical systems. Utilize industrial welding techniques, including welding if applicable, to repair or fabricate machine parts. Support technical sales efforts by providing expert advice on machine capabilities and maintenance requirements. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to high voltage, electrical work, HVAC/R systems, and other industrial processes. Operate equipment such as scissor lifts safely for elevated maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Assist with HVAC/R system troubleshooting and repairs as part of comprehensive plant maintenance efforts. Experience Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility environment with a focus on industrial maintenance or mechanical repair. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, electrical circuits (including high voltage), hydraulics, and HVAC/R systems. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation controls is highly desirable. Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management is preferred. Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, calipers, micrometers, etc. Experience operating field service equipment like scissor lifts safely in an industrial setting. Background in welding techniques specific to welding or similar methods is advantageous. Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems combined with analysis skills for troubleshooting complex machinery issues. Previous work experience in an industrial electrician role or as an industrial mechanic is highly valued.
