Arvin, CA | Full-Time | 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM Exact Staff is hiring for our client, a fast-paced distribution and food processing facility in Arvin, CA. We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support equipment reliability and production operations by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations. This position is ideal for individuals with industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or manufacturing/food processing experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
Performing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, including pneumatic and basic electrical components Diagnosing equipment issues using tools, testing devices, and observation Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals Conducting routine inspections and documenting equipment performance and issues Working closely with production and maintenance teams to reduce downtime Maintaining and managing parts inventory; assisting with sourcing and ordering parts Assembling and repairing machine components as needed Following all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and GMP standards Maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas
Qualifications:
2-5 years of industrial maintenance or mechanical experience required Experience in manufacturing or food processing environments preferred Basic understanding of electrical systems, controls, and pneumatics Familiarity with ammonia or refrigeration systems is a plus Ability to safely use hand and power tools Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (Spanish bilingual preferred) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in a high-noise industrial environment Ability to climb ladders and operate lifts when needed
Pay, Schedule, and Location Pay Rate:
$20.05/hr 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM - Must be flexible with hours and work on weekends
