Mechanics play a key role in the assembly, repair, and maintenance of aircraft components and systems. Our company specializes in large assembly manufacturing for the international aerospace industry as well as other large assembly projects such as Airstair systems. The role will be on site at our manufacturing facility in Chico and will support in all areas of the manufacturing and assembly process. Candidates at the higher end of the pay range listed would have aircraft assembly experience and preferably an airframes license. The product has electrical, pneumatic, and Hydraulic systems. Expertise in any one or multiple of these areas would be considered a strong advantage. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on quality, safety, and teamwork. Responsibilities Assemble, repair, and install aircraft structural, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. Perform mechanical fitting, drilling, riveting, and sealing operations according to engineering drawings and specifications. Conduct inspections and functional tests to verify proper installation and performance. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist in developing corrective actions. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed in accordance with company and quality requirements. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure product integrity and compliance. Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in assembly, production, or maintenance (aircraft industry preferred). Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License preferred but not required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals. Proficient with hand tools, torque wrenches, measuring instruments, and precision assembly equipment. Strong understanding of hardware, materials, and processes (aerospace specific preferred) Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in English. U.S. Person status required (citizen or permanent resident) due to ITAR regulations. Passport holder with a comfortability with international travel
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Comfortable working in a production or workshop environment.
