Industrial Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician EPS City of Industry, CA Job Details Full-time $20 - $30 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Customer service Industrial mechanic experience Manufacturing facility experience Attention to detail Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing facility team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Your expertise will help minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support continuous production processes. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems within an industrial environment. Monday to Friday 2nd shift and 3rd Shift available Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance records. Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters. Repair or replace defective components including motors, pumps, valves, belts, gears, and wiring in accordance with safety standards. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose automation system faults and implement corrective actions. Operate various tools and machinery such as welding equipment (including welding), scissor lifts, and HVAC/R systems to perform repairs or upgrades. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Support field service activities by traveling to different sites or customer locations as needed for troubleshooting or installation projects. Assist with electrical work involving high voltage and low voltage systems while adhering to safety protocols. Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to facilitate repairs. Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness through analysis skills and proactive maintenance strategies. Experience Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment. Strong electrical experience including industrial electrician skills with high voltage and low voltage systems. Hands-on experience with hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding (including welding), and mechanical repairs. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation control systems. Experience using CMMS software for maintenance tracking and documentation. Knowledge of schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills for troubleshooting complex machinery issues. Ability to operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts safely and efficiently. Previous military experience or technical training in industrial maintenance is highly valued. Excellent customer service skills when working directly with internal teams or external clients during maintenance or repair projects.
