Job Summary We are seeking a dependable, skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our food production team. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving a variety of food manufacturing and processing equipment while helping ensure safe and efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience working with industrial equipment, and takes pride in keeping production running with minimal downtime. Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring mechanical system on all processing, packaging, ancillary and utility plant equipment in good repair to prevent downtime for the main processing facility, Receiving yards, warehouses, boilers and air compressors. Ensures all processing and packaging equipment mechanical systems are running at peak production efficiency ensuring produced products are within budget. Ensure that all work orders are completed in timely manner. Ensure preventive maintenance is being performed on all assigned equipment and repairs as needed are completed in a timely manner. Ensure all temporary repairs have work orders for permanent repairs in a timely manner to prevent future downtime. Complete weekly plant inspections for deficiencies /concerns and communicate to maintenance manager. Maintain process and industry standards and specifications. Completes daily log sheet per company policy. Follows company safety and food safety policies. Requires 20/20 vision or correction to 20/20 vision. Ability to lift 50# Any other duties assigned by a manager.

Qualifications Required Knowledge:

basic understanding of how hydraulic/pneumatic system function. Basic electrical experience, multimeter use, motors, contactors, frequency drives. Mig/tig/stick welding. Boilers and air compressor experience a plus. Troubleshooting skills required. LOTO. Powertrain gearbox, motor, sprockets, pulley, chains, belts. Proper lubrication of bearings, chains. Bilingual a plus. Electrical experience a plus.

Skills:

ability to read and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, schematics, engineering designs/drawings, basic hand tools and shop tolls. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Abilities:

ability to solve problems using proper tools and collected data. Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision. Ale to manage competing demands and remain professional while producing results in a timely manner. Ability to communicate with all teams at facility. Ability to lead in-house and contractors on small and large projects. Ability to planned materials, tools and document planned work, and work order information for reactive work. Preferred Food manufacturing experience. Welding and fabrication experience. Basic electrical troubleshooting (120V/240V/480V). Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems. HVAC or refrigeration experience is a plus.
